Episode 148 – Movie Special Part Deux
Game 1 – Broken Headlines I’ll give you three headlines for news stories about movies, and you can earn a point for each one you correctly tell me the missing words OR for making me laugh with your headline, team with the most points after three headlines wins and earns one episode point.
Game 2 – Pitch Me Baby One More Time Movie trilogies are all the rage nowadays, and my little movie studio is desperate to get some of that sweet, sweet trilogy money. Trouble is, we have no ideas, so we want you to pitch us a pair of sequels to a movie that currently doesn’t have any sequels at all. Give a short plot outline of each sequel, maybe some characters and casting, and explain why your trilogy will be successful. One more thing, we don’t have a ton of money on hand to buy the rights to any movie we want, so the movie you pick to trilogize MUST have a rating of 50 or lower on Metacritic. Best pitch wins and earns their team two episode points.
Game 3 – Dumpster Fire I’m going to give you five topics, each player will pitch me something in that topic that they’d like to throw into the dumpster fire, removing it from society forever. It can be a movie, a star, or an aspect of that topic. You’ll then get thirty seconds to sell me on why it should go in the dumpster fire, after all players have gone, I’ll pick one. First team to get three of their choices into the dumpster fire wins and earns three episode points.
